About

Graded by collectors, for collectors

Rice&Cracker Grading exists because we wanted the grading experience we could not find ourselves: consistent standards, explained openly, applied by people who actually care about the cards passing through their hands.

Why we exist

We started out on the other side of the counter — collecting, trading, and sending cards away to be graded, then waiting weeks to find out how somebody else had judged them. Sometimes the result made sense. Often it was impossible to tell why one card came back a point lower than another that looked identical.

RAC was built around fixing that. Every grade we assign comes from the same four documented criteria, published in full on our Grading Scale page, so the standard we hold your card to is the same one you can read before you ever post it to us.

What sets us apart

Consistency comes first. Centering, corners, edges and surface are each assessed on their own terms before an overall grade is settled, and the thresholds we apply do not move depending on who is grading that day.

Beyond the grade itself, we care about how a card comes back to you. Our slabs are built to protect and to display, and every one carries custom label artwork matched to the card rather than a generic template stamped across the whole catalogue.

Our promise

Your card is somebody’s childhood, or a chase card you hunted for years, or simply something you think is beautiful. We handle every submission with that in mind — carefully, transparently, and with the same attention whether it grades a 10 or a 3.

That is what we mean by graded by collectors, for collectors.

Questions about how we grade?

We would rather answer them than have you guess. Send us a message and we will come back to you.
